Saints of Paradox considered the formative design of three narrators in the polyvocal short film provisionally titled 1964. The test space explored character, sound and imagery as potential depictions of syncretic religious entities who operate inside the context of realism maravilhoso. The exhibition consisted of 3 screens projected in a white room along one wall, each containing a potential narrator’s portrait. Each portrait was made up of synchronised sound, image and animation.
